The main drive behind Learn That is Paul Bedwell. Paul's background includes 15 years as a Trainer, Training Manager and Senior Manager in public sector organisations and corporate companies. His experience includes training design and delivery, strategy, project management, performance appraisal systems and competence frameworks, and he has worked with varied groups from cooks and cleaners to Vice Presidents and Chief Executives.

His understanding of leadership and management is well rounded and practical, having managed small teams and large corporate projects in diverse businesses, to leading soldiers with the British Army as a commander and instructor. He is a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management, the Institute of Business Advisors and the Institute of Executive Development. A qualified e-tutor with a background in IT training, Paul is also a member of the Institute of IT Training.

As a balance to corporate work, Paul also develops people through experiences in the outdoors, and is a member of the Institute for Outdoor Learning. A UK Mountain Leader and international Expedition Leader for World Challenge Expeditions, Paul also works as a volunteer Leader and instructor with the Duke of Edinburgh's Award to develop the confidence and life skills of young people, and is a trustee of The Challenger Trust.

Paul is a member of the British Mountaineering Council (BMC) and supports the UK's Mountain Rescue Teams and the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF).
